While my professional experience began in a large, urban district, my personal experience has been that of a smalltown, southwest Minnesota girl, raised as a daughter, niece, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter of rural educators. Not only do I have the training and necessary skillsets in education and communications, but I have a deep-rooted understanding and appreciation for the world of education, particularly smaller districts.
